Tractel K9TRPS Victim Transfer Pulley with Carabiners and Bag

The ascent/descent system is a manually operated rescue and positioningsystem. Designed for raising and lowering personnel or equipment, it can be used in rescue situations as well as in industrial work access. The system is also ideal for confined space applications.

The main feature of the system is the special design of the double pulleys. The sheave of the pulleys has a built-in antireversing lock that activates when the system is used in descent mode. This locking action results in added friction that contributes substantially to reduce the effort and increase the control during the lowering operation. The system requires only 1 U lbs. (4.5 kg) of effort to hold a 220 lb.(100 kg) load.

The victim transfer pulley is a 4:1 short hoist that is a specialized rescue toolused in fall arrest rescue applications. When a person has received an injury from a fall while using a fall arrest system, the victim transler pulley is used to conduct a transfer oi the person lrom the fall arrest system over to the
rescue system such as the Tractel Derope.

This compact 4:1 short hoist allows the rescuer to remove the weight of the injured person from the fall arrest system through raising. The rescuer can then lock the injured person off by passing the rope through the cam cleats, thus freeing his or her hands up allowing detachment from the connecting sub-system.
