General Description:

Gator Grip Traction Tape is the premium brand anti-slip system to help ensure an OSHA compliant workplace. Constructed from a thick PVC base layer impregnated with an aggressive 60-grit mineral abrasive compound. The backing has an aggressive acrylic adhesive system for longevity that will form a strong, water-proof bond to most any clean, dry surface while will still being temporarily repositionable during the application process. 

Gator Grip is a great choice for both indoor and outdoor environments offering our highest wear resistance, weatherability. Recommended product for long term and OEM applications. 

Gator Grip Traction Tape is certified by the National Flooring Safety Institute 101-A “High- Traction”, and meets or exceeds OSHA 1910.24 and 1910.26. Conveniently printed bold marking lines every 12" on liner helps to dispense product by the foot.

Application:

The Premium Grade Anti-Slip Grit Tape offers our highest standards of longevity chemical and water resistance, and wear resistance.  This product has been double sealed with a 2-part epoxy resin that ensure durability, coupled with an acrylic adhesive system that does not require edge sealing to resist attack from water and chemicals.  Surface sealer may be recommended for some difficult applications. Anti-slip grit tape products are a fast, easy way to reduce slip and fall accidents in the workplace.  Tape will adhere to any clean dry surface including metal, wood and concrete.  Surface is constructed of a aluminum oxide grit compound securely bonded to a vinyl substrate with an aggressive acrylic adhesive. Premium anti-slip product offers excellent water & solvent resistance and an embedded grit technology that will ensure extended wear, even in high traffic areas. Tape is intended for both indoor and outdoor applications, and is water-proof under normal applications.  Not intended for submerged applications. INCOM part number is SG3134BS. • Carrier: Vinyl (4 mil) with Aluminum Oxide Grit Material (60-Grit)

• Liner: Paper Liner With 1" Square Grit Pattern (6.8 mil)

• Tape Application: Surface must be clean and free from water, dust, dirt, oil, wax, silicone. Surface sealer is recommended for porous surfaces such as concrete and wood.

• Outdoor Durability: 3 - 5 years in horizontal exposure, depending on total annual UV of region.

• Certification: National Flooring Safety Institute NOSY 101-A Certification As "High-Traction". Meets or exceeds OSHA 1910.24 and 1910.26.

Surface Preparation: 

• Concrete: Clean with Trisodium Phospate (TSP) rinse thoroughly and allow to dry. Apply contact adhesive (ie DAP Weldwood) and allow to dry, then apply tape.

• Wood: Clean with Trisodium Phospate (TSP) allow to dry then seal surface with contact adhesive (ie: DAP Weldwood).  Allow adhesive to dry then apply tape.

• Metal: Clean surface with isopropyl alcohol (not Rubbing Alcohol) allow to dry.

• Adhesion: Adhesive bonding strength of this tape will continue to increase throughout the first 30 days after application, with good initial tack after 24 - 36 hours.

• Cleaning Tape: Clean tape surface with a mild soap and light broom, rinse with fresh water.

• Shelf Life: One year from date of purchase when stored at 70 Degrees Fahrenheit, 50% relative humidity.
